Keys to Kansas Taking Down Utah: Can Lance Leipold's Jayhawks Pull Off the Road Upset of the Utes?

Kansas Jayhawks face a daunting test as they travel to take on the Utah Utes, seeking to pull off a major road upset. Can Isaiah Marshall deliver a consistent performance and exploit Utah's linebacker coverage, or will the Utes' elite secondary and defensive edge, led by Jackson Bennee and Lance Holtzclaw, stifle KU’s offensive playmakers like Dylan Edwards and Cam Pickett? The matchup promises a clash of strengths—Kansas’ explosive play rate against Utah’s stingy defense—and the outcome could hinge on whether KU can sustain drives and win the battle in the trenches.

Derek Johnson spotlights key duels, including Leroy Harris and the Kansas defensive ends against Utah’s formidable tackle Zereoue Williams, and analyzes the crucial role of turnovers in determining the winner. Is this the week KU corners finally secure an interception? With players like Wayshawn Parker and Devon Dampier poised for major impacts, every snap could shift momentum in this high-stakes Big 12 showdown.
