Critical Weekend Ahead of Big 12 to Get Multiple Playoff Bids - Who Will Win? | BIG 12 SQUAD

This episode of the Big 12 Squad features hosts from across the Locked On Podcast Network breaking down the biggest storylines heading into the weekend's Big 12 football action. The discussion centers on a highly anticipated showdown between Oklahoma State and West Virginia in Morgantown, a game the panel views as the conference's marquee matchup. The hosts examine the impact of standout quarterbacks Mike Hawkins and Drew Mestasmaker, debate which outcome would best position the Big 12 for College Football Playoff consideration, and discuss how a national spotlight on the game could elevate the conference's profile. The conversation also explores potential playoff scenarios, Oklahoma State's surprising resurgence following an early-season stumble, and the significance of a packed and energized West Virginia crowd.

Beyond the headline matchup, the panel takes a tour around the conference, analyzing Colorado's mounting concerns under Deion Sanders, Baylor's critical matchup with the Buffaloes, and whether either coach's seat could become significantly hotter with a loss. The hosts also evaluate under-the-radar contests, including Kansas State versus Cincinnati and TCU versus UCF, while discussing which undefeated teams are legitimate contenders and which may be benefiting from favorable early schedules. Throughout the episode, the group offers spirited debate, humor, and insight into the evolving Big 12 landscape, highlighting key players, coaching situations, and conference-wide implications as teams jockey for position in an increasingly competitive race toward the postseason.
